What I Wanted

It was a dangerous liason

Filled with forbidden temptation

Which is exactly what I wanted.

He cast this light out to guide me

They were like stones

Illuminating a path.

When I got there

He immediately knew what to do

Which is another thing

I love about him.

When he was done

Showing me

Who I belonged to

He left me to roam around.

When he let me go

As far as I wanted

It surprised me

You’d think he would keep me

Close at hand

But he didn’t.

He tends to my needs

Making sure

Everything is the way I want

But not quite enough

To make me think

It will ever happen again.

Living on an edge

Where I can be me

Because that is just enough

For him.
