Hidden deeply
Within tangled parts of me
I hide within recesses
The displeasure of it all.
The hideous crime
Befallen the truth
Shining brilliantly
Upon the lies of man.
Masks hang on a wall
To forge alliances
That befall the riddled
Defile the innocent
Harden the weak
Lay wealth upon the poor
While taking everything
From those that gloat
Their riches.
Promises whispered in the dark
Though unseeingly
Nothing more
Than empty words
Like those etched in a tomb
Nobody visits
Anymore.
