A tale that began so long ago
That nobody can remember the start.
It was passionate, and forgiving
Had an undeniable beautiful heart.
The truth held within both of them
from long ago they tried in vain
Once kissed upon a hill in Dublin
Now in Seattle, in the rain.
Seated now face to face
A crowded home lost in voices
They lose the ability to repent
With lots of seedy choices.
Refrain from talking of the past
Knowing it was the choice they made
First of many within their lives
But certainly wasn’t their last.
A story that began long ago
Their sin, was remorse
The obscurity didn’t help much,
Of course.
