You Can Have

You could have a wonderful winter evening

Walking around with your friend.

Taking ashes from the fires you put out so easily

Having nothing inside to mend.

You can have a hasty taste of freedom

Lost within the scene of regret.

Playing roles of polo matches at home

With people you’ve never met.

You can have moonlit dinners with women

But driving is more your style

Though the kind of driving you’d be talking

Would only leave you with a smile.

You could have plenty of hearts at your fingertips

Have a place where they could all fight.

Explain to the winner that you were betting

She could have your attention for the night.

You can have the waves of the ocean

Lost within an abundant sea.

Anything is possible with you

Except me.
