Sat for a season in my chair
Waiting for him to realize
That I still loved him.
Nothing stirred me to move
He never reached out
Had he forgotten?
Snow falls on an empty porch
Nobody has the desire to decorate.
Sins lay around a home
Nobody is wanting to be in.
Fortitude is the fragrant flower
I now bask in for glory.
Desires bloom across empty fields
I no longer find peace and harmony in.
The truth lies somewhere between
A moment I said my peace
And the second you left me
Wanting.
