Fighting Monsters

Slightly to the North
Where beauty meets majesty
In a collective fight of destruction.
A sigh came from the lips of people
Wanting nothing more than me to lose.

Insanity was coming to this place
Where as a child they hated me so.
A place where I couldn't breathe for life
Suffocating on my desire to grow.

Scenes of trees with leaves falling
A child playing in the dirt
Rocks hitting my head from the storm
But I found out who I was
Then wanted to go back.

Not prepared for what was coming
I forgot to pack my rage.
Wrote lofty words on a paper one day
But there was nothing on the page.

There are moments of my life
Where my mind wanders.
When I came back here to live
I just ended up fighting monsters.
